My Beauty Essentials

Make-up is so much fun. I am guilty of spending a couple hours too many at Sephora when I feel I have nothing to do. “ME” time as I like to call it.

I like to experiment frequently with new products but my essentials usually don’t change.

Essentials:

1. Bobbi Brown Natural Finish Foundation.

2. Bobbi Brown Blush Brush.

3. Bobbi Brown Blush in Apricot.

4. Chanel bronzer in Terre Ambre.

5. YSL Highlighter.

6. Diorshow Mascara & Maybelline Mascara. I LOVE LASH!

New Bobbi Brown “Sparkle” Eye Shadow

Bobbi Brown is amongst one of my favorite make up brands. Rather than spending my Labor Day at a barbecue, I decided to go shopping aka buying unnecessary things I really do not need except….my new Bobbi Brown eye shadow.

The new Sparkle Eye Shadow comes in four-color options: Taupe, Cement, Bone, and Black Chocolate. I purchased the “Cement” color which is a greyish beige sparkle. “Cement” looks amazing over taupe, brown, or olive eye shadows for day time or night time. The sparkle is pretty potent so using this eye shadow sparingly is key; this way you won’t look like an ice princess disaster.

Find at any Bobbi Brown counter for $28.00 or at Sephora.

Sam Edelman ‘KELLAN’ platform

I clearly remember my first pair of Sam Edelman shoes; they were a pair of satin flats with beautiful details. Oh how I loved those flats (even though they would kill my feet). A drastic change from flats–the new KELLAN is so fun! Intricate leather details and ties make this shoe a must have.Check them out soon at Pickett Fences boutique on Larchmont Boulevard for $225.00!

Benefit ‘Ooh La Lift’ eye brightener

When Benefit products first came out, they were only sold at Macy’s.  A marketing gimmick they frequently used was that they were owned by Louis Vuitton. Hey, it worked for me– I bought their mascara. Since then, I use a lot of their products. My personal favorite is their eye brightener. This little magic stick works perfectly to give your eyes a fresh look. They cover dark circles and make you look awake! For $22.oo, this product is an essential.

LANCOME ‘La Base Pro’ Make-up Primer

Lancome used to have my all time favorite mattifier gel– it got discontinued. Wha! It is okay, they recently came out with this new product that is almost as good. I have oily skin and therefore my face is very prone to shine mid-day. Who wants that? Especially out on the town at night? Not me. Countless touch ups get frustrating too. This product is oil-free and well worth its $42.00 price tag. Smooth it on before you apply your make up and your face will be shine free the whole day. Even if you do not have oily skin, use it to keep your make up in tact for a special occasion. I recommend this product with 5 stars!
