My closest friends know that I get my hair cut at least once every two months. I wasn’t always like that oh no. My new hair lifestyle stemmed from not cutting it for a year straight! By the end of that year my split ends were having a cocktail party. After having to cut my hair short, I now get my monthly trim.
With a personality like mine, I am always ready to explore new places and try new things. I am guilty of not staying loyal to one hair dresser. Hey, at least my fickle behavior has opened my view on some hot spot hair salons in Los Angeles. I have even gotten my hair cut in New York and Europe if anyone is asking.
* Cristophe Salon-$$$$ 348 N Beverly Dr, Beverly Hills— A fine looking gentleman by the name of Mateo gave me a complete reconstructive hair cut after a previous disaster experience. The salon is beautiful, the coffee is yummy, and my hair looked beautiful. The only downside, my haircut cost me a monthly car payment. Oy.
* Factory Hair and Make Up Studio-$$ 449 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena– Alfonso has been cutting my hair and my moms hair, oh and my aunts hair, and my brothers hair for a very long time. Before opening up his own salon, he worked at another prominent Pasadena hair salon. Al is fast, talented, and edgy. He listens to what you want and cuts your hair exactly to your liking. They sell art as well and often have a Dj mixing. No fear of getting your hair chopped here. He is great with color too.
* Atelier Sav-$$$ 142 N Brand Blvd, Glendale– Modern Femme decor greet clientele as they walk into this Brand Blvd salon. They are conveniently located and parking isn’t to bad. Every time I have wanted to get my hair blow dried, the ladies at Atelier Sav have been very attentive and have always squeezed me in. The wait isn’t long and a lot of the girls are specialized in special occasion hair do’s. They also have a talented make up artists on staff. They use great products and the vide is just luxurious. I love the way my hair looks every time I leave; big and sexy.
* Salon de la Cruz-$$ 989 E Green St, Pasadena– What a sweet salon. The staff members are all so beautiful. You can tell a hairdresser is skilled by the way their own hair looks. They work fast and keep up friendly chatter. I even think Friday’s they have Blow-Out specials; that always gets me. They accept walk ins as well. I like a flexible salon.
